It's been more than a decade since Puella Magi Madoka Magica first aired, so some fans may need a refresher before diving into the upcoming Walpurgisnacht Rising movie. To celebrate the upcoming film and to help viewers refresh, the first two Madoka Magica recap films will be aired as an 11-episode television series. Madoka Magica: Beginnings and Madoka Magica: Eternal both premiered in October 2012, retelling the events of the original TV series with new footage and redone voice acting. The third movie, Rebellion , followed in 2013, bringing with it a new chapter — though there is no word at this time whether this third film will receive a similar TV treatment. Yuki Kajiura is the composer on the film, and Gekidan Inu Curry returns to design the Witches' Spaces. The original cast is also set to reprise their roles from the third film and Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story spin-off series.
