The upcoming TV anime adaptation of the Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City fantasy light novel series created by Sou Akaie (story) and Kururi (illustrations) is set to premiere in 2026. The anime's official website announced the news today. The site also revealed the anime's three main voice cast members below: Yumi Uchiyama (Puck in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World ) voices Van, the protagonist who is reborn into an aristocratic family and has been called a child prodigy since childhood. Van / Yumi Usvhiyama MAO (Shion in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ) voices Till, Van's personal maid who has served him since childhood and dotes on him like a younger brother. Till / MAO Mariya Ise (Killua Zoldyck in Hunter × Hunter ) voices Khamshin, who has a deep loyalty to Van since he saved his life in the past. Overlap started publishing the novel from its Overlap Novels imprint in September 2021, and so far seven volumes have been available in Japan. And a manga adaptation illustrated by Maro Aoiro has been serialized on Overlap's Comic Gardo manga service since August 2021, releasing seven volumes to date. Seven Seas Entertainment, which has licensed both the novel and manga, describes the synopsis as such: Van, fourth son of a marquis, is just a toddler when he realizes he’s been reincarnated. Thanks to his literal lifetime of knowledge, he’s raised as a child prodigy—until his production magic manifests, and it’s the last thing his snooty mage family wants to see!
