Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Anime Adaptation Announced, Will Stream on Crunchyroll in 2026

Following the reveal at Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2025, an anime adaptation of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, titled Sekiro: No Defeat, was announced to be in production and scheduled for a 2026 release. Additionally, Crunchyroll is announcing today the anime will exclusively stream on the platform worldwide, excluding Japan, China, Korea, Russia and Belarus when it premieres next year. Please look forward to it." Kutsuna is slated to direct the anime at animation studio Qzil.la. Shunsuke Fukui will be Deputy Director, alongside Kaito Moki as Chief Animation Director and Takashi Mukoda as Action Animation Director. Takuya Satou will handle the script, with Takahiro Kishida on character designs and Shuta Hasunuma on music.
