Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga Western Release Delayed

In May, publisher refint/games announced a summer 2025 release window for crossover fighter Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga . Those plans have changed a bit, and the game has since been delayed due to an “unforeseen circumstance” outside of their control.  At the time of this writing, all we know is that the release has been pushed back “a few months.” The team at Falcom will use the time to ensure the final game meets “the quality [they] strive for and that fans deserve.” A release date trailer will be shared once the date has been locked in place.  RELATED: Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga Action-RPG Fighter Heads West This Summer Here’s the full statement: Greetings, adventurers and bracers! It has been a while since our last update on Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga, and we want to thank everyone for their patience during this time. Development has been steadily progressing but an unforeseen circumstance outside our control arose, preventing us from continuing work and forced us to reassess our release schedule and make the necessary adjustments. While our original target was a Summer release, after careful consideration, we have decided to delay the game by a few months. This will give us the time needed to ensure that every aspect of the game, from the gameplay to the presentation, meets the quality we strive for and that fans deserve. We understand it is disappointing to wait longer than expected, but we are confident this decision will lead to a stronger, more polished experience at launch. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing more details, new screenshots, additional information! Please stay tuned for the upcoming release date trailer! Thank you again for your continued support and enthusiasm! Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga is currently in the works for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.  Source: refint/games on X (formerly Twitter)
