The Summer Hikaru Died Anime Shares New Story Visual, Starts New Making-of Series

The Summer Hikaru Died is preparing to air its "shocking" seventh episode worldwide. In advance of the premiere, the show's official social media has shared a new "story visual," foreshadowing events in the series to come. First, though, there's a new series to unpack: The Making of The Summer Hikaru Died , the first episode of which is now live on the Kadokawa Anime YouTube channel. Simply titled "Horror," the inaugural episode features interviews with the show's creators as they discuss how to bring the creepy series to the screen and create genuine fear. The series topped Kono Manga ga Sugoi!'s list for male readers in 2023, and has also been ranked/nominated for the Manga Taisho award, the Tsutaya Comic Awards, an Eisner Award and the Next Manga Award. Ryohei Takeshita ( Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night ) directs the anime adaptation at studio CygamesPictures and serves as series composer, while Yuichi Takahashi ( Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song- ) serves as character designer and chief animation director and Masanobu Hiraoka ( Chainsaw Man episode director) serves as "Dorodoro" animator.
