Gintama Anime Announces Yoshiwara in Flames Movie, 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-Sensei Start Date

It's a big weekend for Gintama fans! Today marks the 20th anniversary Gintama Multiverse Festival, and we're already hearing lots of news about the series coming out of the event. At the top of the list is a new film project and a release date for upcoming spinoff 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei . First up is the new film project, which will once again adapt the manga's "Yoshiwara in Flames" arc. This arc was first adapted in the TV anime in 2009, spanning eight episodes. A teaser trailer and teaser visual are now available for the project, which is titled New Gintama the Movie: Yoshiwara in Flames and is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2026. The series composition is written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu ( Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun ) and “To be determined MarkII,” character designs/chief animation direction by Shinji Takeuchi ( Gintama ) and music by Audio Highs.
