New two-man developer Apex Game Studios just added another game to your Halloween playlist with Spirit Catcher 93′. Coming October 2025 to the Epic Games Store, this retro-futuristic horror game aims to immerse players in a unique blend of classic retro aesthetics and futuristic digital dread.
In Spirit Catcher 93′, players become a fragmented soul in a distorted digital realm. Armed with the mysterious Spirit Catcher, they must navigate continually-shifting landscapes as they work to uncover the unsettling truth hidden within this fractured reality. All the while, they must evade the relentless entity know as the Shepherd.
But beyond evading the Shepherd, a deeper mystery beckons: What is this place? Are you merely a simulation, or are you dead? Perhaps you’re trapped in a coma, or even part of a terrifying experiment?
