Hoppe-chan is a mascot line made up of cute, friendly slimes. Created by SUNHOSEKI in 2010, the brand was a hit with grade- and middle-school girls until the COVID-19 pandemic put it at risk of dissolving. But 15 years since its inception, it's back and stronger than ever… and it's even getting an anime adaptation next year! Today, the brand announced Hoppe-chan ~Sun Ookoku to to Kuro Hoppe-dan no Himitsu~ ("Hoppe-chan ~Mystery of the Sun Kingdom and the Black Hoppe Team~"). This upcoming TV anime will follow two story threads. In the adorable world of the Sun Kingdom, a Hoppe-chan who has lost her memories joins the battle to protect the kingdom from the machinations of toxic, "uncute" slimes. Meanwhile in our world, office worker Hoho is feeling sad and adrift. Over the course of the series, these two stories will intersect. So far, the cast includes both established voice actors and a range of YouTuber and VTuber talent: Ganso Hoppe-chan voiced by Rin Kusumi (Kaoru in I Shall Survive Using Potions! ) Ohana Hoppe-chan voiced by Kyoko Kuramochi (Amuse Dolce) Star Hoppe-chan voiced by Ayaka Takamura (Yuki Tendo in CUE! ) Megane Hoppe-chan voiced by Ran Misato (Amuse Dolce) Heart Hoppe-chan voiced by Ayasa Ito (Arisa Ichigaya in BanG Dream! ) Tiara Hoppe-chan voiced by Neo Tanaka Hoho voiced by Sachi Nabeshige directs Hoppe-chan ~Sun Ookoku to to Kuro Hoppe-dan no Himitsu~ at Toon Harbor Works, based on the franchise created by SUNHOSEKI. Yoko Yonaiyama ( mono ) will handle series composition, with Takahiro Nagano ( Duel Masters ) and Saji Komori ( PuniRunes ) collaborating with Yonaiyama on scriptwriting.
