It's finally (story)time. An official website opened today revealed that a TV anime adaptation of Yuki Suenaga and Takamasa Moue's Akane-banashi manga is in production for a 2026 broadcast. The below teaser trailer and visual were shared, along with production staff details and the following main cast members: Akane Osaki voiced by Anna Nagase (Natsuko in ZENSHU ) Karashi Nerimaya voiced by Takuya Eguchi (Loid in SPY x FAMILY ) Hikaru Koragi voiced by Rie Takahashi (Yuzuriha in Hell's Paradise ) Akane-banashi Teaser Trailer Akane-banashi Teaser Visual RELATED: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju Manga Gets Stage Musical Adaptation Ayumu Watanabe ( Summer Time Rendering ) directs the Akane-banashi anime at studio ZEXCS, with series composition by Michihiro Tsuchiya ( Saint Cecilia & Pastor Lawrence scriptwriter), character designs and chief animation direction by Kii Tanaka ( Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead ) and music by Akio Izutsu ( Akuma Kun ). Kikuhiko Hayashiya is also on board as rakugo supervisor.
