As we reported early last month , Kenshi Yonezu is once again penning music for Chainsaw Man . His second song for the series, "IRIS OUT," will serve as the theme song for the upcoming Reze Arc film. Today, there's more news on the new single's multiple releases, as well as a peek at Yonezu's own cover artwork for the single! It's very common for Yonezu to flex his artistic muscles and draw covers for his own singles, and "IRIS OUT" is no exception. In addition to a regular version, two limited-edition versions of the single will be available: one themed to each track. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who previously directed the fourth and tenth episodes of the TV anime series and directed much of the Black Clover TV anime, directs the upcoming movie. Hiroshi Seko returns to write the script along with Kazutaka Sugiyama as Character Designer, all at MAPPA. Souta Yamazaki and Shun work as the Sub Character Designers, with Sota Shigetsugu as Action Animation Director and Shoichi as the Main Animator. Riki Matsuura will design the devils alongside Look Back director Kiyotaka Oshiyama. Chainsaw Man—The Movie: Reze Arc will premiere in Japan on September 19 and then be released internationally starting September 24. Sony Pictures will release the film in the United States on October 29. The Chainsaw Man TV anime premiered in Japan in October 2022.
