Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fans at CD PROJEKT RED's Anime Expo panel today were treated to a preem announcement that Studio TRIGGER is returning to Night City with a brand-new 10-episode anime that will feature a standalone story described as "a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge." The production was fitted with all-new key staff, including Kai Ikarashi ( Little Witch Academia animation director) as director, Masahiko Otsuka ( Promare ) as series composer and Ichigo Kanno ( Delicious in Dungeon key animator) as character designer. Kanno provided the below poster illustration. An exact release date for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 was not confirmed at the time of reporting, though Netflix will stream the series.
