To mark the anniversary of the first episode of the Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian TV anime, based on the light novel of the same name written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco, the series announced today that the previously announced second season will premiere in 2026. Alongside the broadcast news, a teaser visual was released featuring Alya and Kuze. Yuka Yamada is writing the series composition and Yuhei Murota is continuing to draw the character designs. Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired and describes the story as such: Alya is a transfer student enjoying popularity at her new high school, often sporting a cold shoulder while earning high marks in class. She ignores her nerdy classmate, Kuze Masachika, except for when she blurts out a flirtatious line to him in Russian. Little does she know, Kuze understands Russian, though he pretends not to.
