It's a big day for Lupin news, as Lupin the IIIrd: Zenigata to Futari no Lupin goes live on Japanese streaming platforms. The episode will also air on Japanese satellite TV channel WOWOW two days later, along with the three previous episodes of the Lupin the IIIrd series — The Gravestone of Daisuke Jigen (2014), Goemon's Blood Spray (2017), and Fujiko Mine's Lie (2019). All of the film's main staff members, including director Takeshi Koike, scriptwriter Yuya Takahashi, soundtrack composer James Shimoji and creative advisor Katsuhito Ishii, are attached to the prequel episode as well. The synopsis reads: An airport bombing in the Roviet Union, a land of extreme cold. The suspect emerges as Lupin the Third.
