The official website and accounts for the Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota anime today announced an October 2025 broadcast, which will follow a world premiere screening at AnimeExpo 2025 on July 3. A selection of preview stills from the first episode was also unveiled. Fuyu Azuma penned the original manga. MangaPlaza publishes an official English version of Fuyu Azuma's original manga and describes the story: Kashiwada-san is a girl who doesn't show emotions on her face no matter what happens. Oota-kun is a boy who shows emotions on his face too much. They are classmates in a junior high school, and Oota-kun is always trying to surprise Kashiwada-san with his actions.
