Return to Silent Hill Live-Action Film Release Date Announced

Director Christophe Gans is about to return to the world of Konami’s flagship survival horror game series Silent Hill , and the new movie now has a date. According to Cineverse, which nabbed the U.S. rights, Return to Silent Hill opens on January 23, 2026. Return to Silent Hill was first announced in October 2022. Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson star, with game composer Akira Yamaoka providing music. The story follows James (Irvine) as a letter prompts him to return to Silent Hill to search for the love of his life (Anderson) after a separation. Naturally, things don’t quite go as planned in Silent Hill, as James encounters plenty of freaky creatures and attempts to unravel the town’s mystery.  If that all sounds familiar, it’s because Cineverse promises a “faithful adaptation of the video game Silent Hill 2 .”  RELATED: Silent Hill 1 Remake in the Works at Bloober Team Previous Silent Hill movies include 2006’s Silent Hill from director Christophe Gans and 2012’s Silent Hill: Revelation from director M. J. Bassett. On the video game side of things, a remake of the original Silent Hill is currently in the works at Silent Hill 2 remake developer Bloober Team.
