Upcoming original theatrical anime film ChaO published four additional trailers today featuring five characters from the upcoming movie: Shi (voiced by Ryota Yamazato), Juno (voiced by Shunsei Ota), Editor-in-Chief (voiced by Anna Tsuchiya), King Neptunus (voiced by Kenta Miyake) and Ambassador Omede (voiced by Cookie!). The film begins its theatrical run in Japan on August 15, 2025. Hirokazu Kojima provides the character designs and serves as animation director, while Hiroshi Takiguchi serves as art director. TOEI distributes the film in Japan. The Annency Film Festival's official website describes ChaO as follows: In a future society where humans and mermaids coexist, Stephan, a regular office worker at a shipbuilding company, is suddenly proposed to by Chao – a princess from the mermaid kingdom! With no time to make sense of what's happening, Stephan finds himself living together with Chao. As he is showered with Chao's pure and wholehearted love, Stephan gradually begins to fall for her.
