April Showers Bring May Flowers is gearing up to soften hearts this July when the anime adaptation of the romantic comedy manga by Roku Sakura premieres. Ahead of that, the official account for the series revealed that South Korean boy band TWS will be performing the opening theme song. TWS will be performing “BLOOM” alongside Japanese singer Ayumu Imazu as the opening theme song for the April Showers Bring May Flowers anime. After making a splash in South Korea in 2024, the "boyhood pop" group will be making their Japanese debut on July 2. “BLOOM” will be their first anime opening. The series is set to premiere in July. Yen Press publishes an official English version of the manga and describes the story as such: Hana Tabata has accepted her role as the unattractive side character in other people’s stories. Though her name is Japanese for “flower,” she sure doesn’t feel like one. That doesn’t mean she can’t enjoy some heart-pounding romance manga—and maybe occasionally, every so often, imagine herself as the heroine. But when the most popular guy in class stumbles upon a daydreaming Hana, she braces herself for the embarrassment and humiliation to come.
