Aoashi Season 2 Anime Announced for 2026

More than three years on from when Ashito first took the field, the official website and accounts for the Aoashi anime announced today that a second season is in the works for a 2026 broadcast, with TMS Entertainment taking over production from Production I.G. Based on the manga by Yugo Kobayashi, Akira Sato ( Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc ) directed the first season of Aoashi at Production I.G, with Masahiro Yokotani ( All Out!! ) on series composition, Toshio Kawamura, Saki Hasegawa, Manabu Nakatake and Asuka Yamaguchi on character designs, and Masaru Yokoyama ( Tsurune ) on music. Crunchyroll streams the series and describes the story: After a loss in his last junior high school soccer tourney, Ehime Prefecture’s ace player, Ashito Aoi, is devastated but in every loss there’s a victory. Tatsuya Fukuda, manager of an organization that trains students for one of the leading clubs in the J-League, sees Ashito’s raw talent and offers a tryout to his group.
