After making a record-breaking debut , Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback stayed at No. 1 for two consecutive weekends, beating A Minecraft Movie in its opening weekend in Japan and other newcomers in the first weekend of the Golden Week Holiday. In the weekend of April 25-27, the 28th feature film in the Detective Conan/Case Closed anime series earned 1.669 billion yen (11.74 million USD) on 1.136 million admissions according to Kogyo Tsushinsha , 51.5% down from its opening weekend. The second-weekend gross was 86.88% of that of the previous 27th film released last April, Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram , which later became the highest-grossing film in the franchise. The film's two-week cumulative total gross had reached 6.3 billion yen (44.33 million USD) with 4.31 million ticket sales, which was 200 million yen less than The Million-dollar Pentagram . A live-action film adaptation of Yuto Yotsuba (story) and Ryo Ogawa's (art) comedy manga Ya Boy Kongming! (known as Paripi Koumei in Japan) opened in 311 theaters on April 25, making a fifth place debut. The film, which tells a sequel story to the 2023 TV drama series, also ranked fifth in Filmarks' first-day satisfaction ranking with an average rating of 3.84/5.0 based on 265 reviews. Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Art World Tales , the 44th theatrical film from the Doraemon anime franchise, went down four spots to sixth in its eighth weekend. Following the "Tsuzumi Mansion Arc" last weekend, the "Mount Natagumo Arc," one of the re-edited editions of episodes from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV series, ranked 10th as well. A total of 11 chapters will be shown in limited theaters in Japan on a weekly basis from April 4 to July 3. After ranking fourth in its opening weekend, ME & ROBOCO: The Movie , an anime film based on the comedy manga by Shuhei Miyazaki, disappeared outside the top 10 in its second weekend.
