One night, when investigating strange noises coming from her father’s study, she discovers a mysterious book entitled “Clow.” Instead of text, however, the book contains a deck of strange tarot-like cards. After picking up the Windy Card, she unwittingly unleashes its power and scatters all 52 cards throughout her hometown of Tomoeda. After scolding Sakura for her mistake, Cerberus (nicknamed Kero-chan by Sakura) informs her that she couldn’t have used the power of the cards (labeled Clow Cards) without having some latent magic of her own. Thus, Kero-chan equips her with a special wand and tasks her with tapping into her own magic to recapture the Clow Cards, which will undoubtedly cause mischief in Tomoeda if left unchecked. Joining her on her quest is her best friend Tomoyo Daidouji, a rich young lady who’s handy with a costume change and a camcorder to record Sakura’s Cardcaptor escapades. Kero-chan also remains by her side to teach her how to harness her magic. Along the way, she also meets Syaoran Li, a transfer student from Hong Kong who is also on the hunt for the Clow Cards. Sakura also gradually learns about the origins of the Clow Cards and the nature of their deceased creator, Clow Reed. Amidst all this, she continues to lead the life of a regular young girl who struggles in her studies and crushes on her older brother’s best friend, Yukito Tsukishiro. Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie takes place between the first and second seasons of the Cardcaptor Sakura anime series. As spring break approaches for Sakura, the young Cardcaptor ends up winning a vacation to Hong Kong for her and her friends. However, her visit was secretly orchestrated by a vengeful spirit with a grudge against Clow Reed. Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Prologue – Episode 22 Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Prologue — Sakura and the Two Bears While Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Prologue — Sakura and the Two Bears is not strictly canon to the events of the anime, this fun little OVA sidestory adapts a chapter of the manga and partially sets the stage for the long-awaited sequel series. Shortly before returning home to Hong Kong, Syaoran confesses to Sakura that he’s in love with her. As she tries to settle on her own feelings, Sakura makes him a pair of teddy bears in an attempt to express how she feels. Their peaceful days are short-lived, however, as Sakura’s Cards have all mysteriously gone blank. Soon after, she is attacked by unknown forces of magic.
