SEGA previously teased plans to bring a bunch of its classic titles to the screen, and the next to be realized is arcade racing classic OutRun . Universal hit the gas on this one with Michael Bay attached to direct and Sydney Sweeney producing. Jayson Rothwell ( Polar , Arachnid ) is handling the script. Bay serves as producer, as well, alongside Brad Fuller at their production company Platinum Dunes. Other producers include SEGA’s Toru Nakahara and company president/COO Shuji Utsumi. Beyond the deluxe, hydraulic-powered arcade cabinets on which it was often featured, it’s known for its vibrant visuals and an iconic soundtrack courtesy of Hiroshi Kawaguchi.
