Little Mouse's Red Vest Anime Reveals April 4 Premiere, Main Cast and Staff

Japanese broadcaster NHK revealed that the TV anime adaptation of Yoshio Nakae and Noriko Ueno's Little Mouse's Red Vest (known in Japan as Nezumi-kun no Chokki ) picture book series will begin airing on April 4, 2026 at 9:30 JST . The series stars Kenjiro Tsuda (Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband ) as Nezumi-kun and Mamiko Noto (Sawako in Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You ) as Nemi-chan, with the pair to also voice all other characters. Yoshio Nakae writes and Noriko Ueno illustrates the series, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024. Nobuyoshi Habara ( My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s ) directs the anime adaptation at studio Creadom8, with Kanemori Yasuda alongside as character designer and CG director.
