Voice actor Nao Toyama announced that she will hold her solo concert at Nippon Budokan, titled "10th Anniv. Final Live 'OVER THE RAINBOW at Nippon Budokan,'" on March 11, 2027, which is her 35th birthday. Ticket sales are scheduled to begin on March 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM (JST). Nippon Budokan was built in 1964 to promote traditional Japanese martial arts and serve as the venue for judo competitions at the first Tokyo Olympics. Since hosting The Beatles' concert in 1966, it has also been used as a concert venue for various artists from Japan and abroad. For Japanese artists in particular, performing at this venue signifies a major milestone of success in their career. Toyama had already held her first solo concert at this venue on February 3, 2018, making this her second concert there after nine years and one month. Check out an announcement video for the concert below. Nao Toyama "10th Anniv. Final Live 'OVER THE RAINBOW at Nippon Budokan'" Announcement Video Toyama also announced that she will suspend her music career following the Budokan concert, marking the 10th anniversary of her singing career. Thus, as suggested in the title, this will also be her final concert at Budokan. While playing popular anime characters since 2010, such as Yui Yuigahama in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU and Ruka Sarashina in Rent-A-Girlfriend , Toyama made her solo artist debut in February 2017, releasing nine CD singles and three full-length albums to date. "It was because I thought that continuing my singing career at the current pace would eventually become difficult someday," she wrote on her official blog . "The activities gradually slowing down just seemed like they'd never gain any momentum anyway, and I wondered if that was truly a good thing, if I could still be proud of my work. So I decided to bring my diligent singing career to a close with this 10th anniversary." She also hinted in her blog that she might resume her artistic activities in the future, though it's unclear when that might happen. As the culmination of ten years of her musical career leading up to the Nippon Budokan concert, the production of a new album has been decided. Additionally, starting at 11:00 PM (JST) / 06:00 AM (PT) on March 10, 2026, a live birthday countdown stream will be held on her official YouTube channel to share the moment she turns 34 with her fans.
