MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY The Sorcery of Nymph Circe Anime Film Releases New Trailer Featuring Guns N' Roses Ending Theme Song

To commemorate the theatrical release in Japan starting on January 30, the official website for the anime film MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY The Sorcery of Nymph Circe released a new trailer featuring the ending theme song "Sweet Child O' Mine" by American rock band Guns N' Roses today. GUNDAM HATHAWAY The Sorcery of Nymph Circe Trailer Featuring "Sweet Child O’ Mine" "Sweet Child o' Mine" was originally included in Guns N' Roses' first full-length album "Appetite for Destruction" released in July 1987. In August 1988, the song was released as a single from the album and became the band's first number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It remains one of the band's signature songs and is still performed at live concerts. Director Shukou Murase explained the reason for using this song in the film on the website as follows: 1988. Back when music was my only support to keep me going at work, I encountered this song. Around 2018, I saw a semi-pro cover of this song on YouTube. A refreshing Sweet Child O' Mine with female vocals, arranged like Paramore. Come to think of it, this is a song around the time the original Hathaway novel was written. As a compromise for compatibility with the anime, could a cover by a domestic artist work? That idea popped into my head. By spring 2023, as Chapter 2's framework solidified, the ending's mock-up image had been fixed. Only the original—that unrestrained, pure feeling—was fitting. I never thought it possible. But it actually happened… Guns N' Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine" Original Music Video RELATED: MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY The Sorcery of Nymph Circe Anime Film Unveils Guns N' Roses Theme Song Also, to celebrate the film's opening, a "Release Commemorative Mecha Visual" has been unveiled.
