High School! Kimengumi Anime Casts Katsuyuki Konishi in Second Role

Voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi (Tengen Uzui in  Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ) already voices Takuma Sessa in the High School! Kimengumi anime, and now the series has him hopping in another role. Starting in episode 4, Konishi will voice school gang leader Wakazo Temekono, pictured above.  The episode also marks the appearance of Sakugo Jidai, featuring the previously-announced voice work of Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata in  Gintama ). Kimengumi   at Animation Studio Seven with series composition written by Shigeru Murakoshi ( ZOMBIE LAND SAGA ), character designs from Yuka Abe and in-show song production by Night Tempo. It is currently airing in Japan in the noitaminA block. High School! Kimengumi   is the second installment in Shinzawa's  Kimengumi  (literally translated to "Funny Face Club") manga series. The first entry,  Sannen Kimengumi  ("Third Year Funny-face Club" ),  was serialized in  Weekly Shonen Jump  from October 1980 to April 1982. When the main characters entered high school, the title changed to  High School! Kimengumi  and the sequel was serialized in the same magazine from April 1982 to July 1987. The story centers on the five members of Kimen-gumi — Rei Ichido, Go Reietsu, Kiyoshi Shusse, Jin Daima, and Dai Monboshi — all of whom attend Ichiou Junior High School. Each member possesses a wildly eccentric personality. Transfer student Yui Kawa and her classmate Chie Uru, intrigued by the group, begin spending time with them. Source: Comic Natalie
