Gintama: Yoshiwara in Flames Anime Film Casts Kappei Yamaguchi, Three Returning Cast Members

The upcoming New Gintama the Movie: Yoshiwara in Flames has just released four new cast members — three of whom will be familiar to fans of the anime's original Yoshiwara in Flames Arc! Joining the cast as anime-original character Enkaku is Kappei Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi's many past roles include Usopp in ONE PIECE , Shinichi Kudo and Kaito Kid in Detective Conan and Ranma Saotome in both anime adaptations of Ranma 1/2 . As Enkaku, he will appear as an aide to Housen. Kappei Yamaguchi as Enkaku It's also been confirmed that Kujira, Yu Sigmoto and Omi Minami — the original voices of Otose, Catherine and Tama respectively — will be reprising their roles in the film. The script is written by Taku Kishimoto ( Ranking of Kings , DON’T TOY WITH ME, MISS NAGATORO ) with character designs drawn by Shinji Takeuchi, who is returning from the rest of the franchise. Crunchyroll currently streams the original Gintama anime, describing the series as such: In a world where aliens have invaded Edo Period Japan, skyscrapers, trains and motor bikes have replaced the simple life of Earth inhabitants.
