The upcoming TV anime based on the dark fantasy yuri romance manga I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day published a new piece of key art featuring the main characters Sheena Totsuki and Mimi Kagari holding hands. The series begins broadcasting in Japan in July 2026. Takudai Kakuchi ( In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki ) directs I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day at ROLL2, with character design by Kyoko Yufu ( Delicious Party Precure ) and series composition by Jukki Hanada ( Love Live! School Idol Project ). Yasushi Tomoda serves as assistant director. The series, based on the manga by Nachi Aono, will be produced by Infinite. Ichijinsha serializes the original I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day manga on their Ichijin Plus manga website, and eight volumes plus one collection of side stories have been published in Japan to date. Kodansha USA publishes an English-language version of the series, and describes the story of the first volume as follows: Death lurks behind a mysterious orphanage where children train to become magical weapons of war. Among them is Sheena, who longs to stop the fighting and end the conflict. On one gruesome night, Sheena meets a strange girl covered in blood, with a smile on her face. The mysterious girl turns out to be a secret weapon—an immortal child soldier named Mimi. When the two become roommates, there is growing tension and attraction.
