The official website and accounts for the Snowball Earth anime today revealed an April 3, 2026 at 23:30 JST broadcast start in Nippon TV's FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT slot, directly following the debut of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 . Takuto Yoshinaga (Tsukushi in DAYS ) leads the action sci-fi series as Tetsuo Yabusame, joined by Daisuke Hirakawa as Yukio, Ami Koshimizu as Ao Nogi and Konomi Tamura as Hagane Takimura. Viz Media publishes an official English version of the original manga and describes the story: Yukio was destroyed in battle and Tetsuo survived in an escape pod. After eight years in cold sleep, the escape pod finally lands back on Earth. But when Tetsuo emerges he finds a world in ruins, entirely frozen beneath a blanket of ice and snow—snowball Earth!
