Crunchyroll News' Top Read Articles of 2025

Another chapter ends on a year of anime news, which means it's time to look back at the newsy calendar that was! Now in its sixth year of me writing this , I've come to accept that anything is possible to end up in our most-read category, even beyond what I thought was a guarantee! But even with a few surprises on my end, what was not a shock was the multiple appearances of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle . As forecasted in last year's article , people were absolutely itching to see this new movie and, I think by any stretch, the worldwide box office also showed exactly that. For as much commentary about the state of movie theatres and attendance, it's undeniable there are just certain stories that propel people to go out and experience something together, whether that be in a physical location or as a cultural event. Additionally, what stood out to me this last year is the broadening of audience taste and, primarily, source material. While 2025 was also certainly the year of Solo Leveling , what wasn't lost was seeing a news article about a donghua — one that I saw plenty of Instagram reels clipping and highlighting an absolutely stunning first episode — making it into the Top 10. Even with the Japanese productions behind Solo Leveling and The All-devouring Whale: Homecoming 's dub, it's telling that Chinese and Korean stories are piquing people's interests, as well. Without further ado, here are the top-performing Crunchyroll news and features articles from the year 2025.  Top Read News Articles of 2025 #1.
