Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc Named Highest Rated Overall Film of 2025 on Letterboxd

Social film logging and reviewing service Letterboxd shared its 2025 Year in Review this week, and director Tatsuya Yoshihara’s Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc came out in the ratings lead. The feature film adapting the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto was named Highest Rated Overall for the year, topping the likes of Marty Supreme , Sinners , One Battle After Another and other critical favorites. Reze Arc earned further distinction at the top of the following lists: Highest Rated Asian Film, Highest Rated Animation and Highest Rated Directorial Debut. The voices behind the MAPPA production, including Japanese Denji VA Kikunosuke Toya and English dub cast members Ryan Colt Levy (Denji), Alexis Tipton (Reze), Casey Mongillo (Angel Devil) and Suzie Yeung (Makima), shared a message of thanks: Tatsuya Yoshihara directs the  Reze Arc   movie at animation studio MAPPA, with assistant direction by Masato Nakazono, screenplay by Hiroshi Seko, character designs by Kazutaka Sugiyama and music by Kensuke Ushio. The film has earned over 10.15 billion yen in Japan, with over 6.65 million tickets sold. It is available digitally outside of Japan.
