NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE Anime Debuts Original Unit Karamazov in New Visual

A brand-new visual was unveiled today for the anime adaptation of Xemono and WSS Playground's NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE video game — released in the West as NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD — revealing an anime-original idol unit called Karamazov. Cast members for the trio were also announced. A theatrical pre-release version titled NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE -OVERTURE will be screened at Theater Shinjuku and Theater Umeda on March 6 before the series begins airing sometime in April 2026 . Nyalra penned the original story and Ohisashiburi created the original character designs. The original NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE game was released for Windows and MacOS on January 21, 2022, and for Nintendo Switch on October 27 later that year before arriving on PlayStation 4 and 5 on January 20, 2025. The anime's official website boasts over 3 million downloads for the game and over 400 million streams for its related music tracks. The Steam page for the English release features the following description: NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD is a “multi-ending ADV” depicting daily life with “OMGkawaiiAngel”, a young girl with a rather extreme need for approval attempting to become the #1 “Internet Angel” (streamer). Gradually build up OMGkawaiiAngel’s number of followers as she spends her days streaming, using various ”stress relievers”, and generally being kinda messed up.
