A brand-new trailer was released for the Scum of the Brave anime today, showing off more of the series' supernatural action before an January 10 broadcast start and subsequent simulcast on Crunchyroll . toi8, illustrator for the original web novel, also shared an illustration to commemorate the anime's incoming debut. Originally a web novel serialized on Kadokawa's Kakuyomu platform, the Scum of the Brave light novel is written by Rocket Shoukai, illustrated Yuya Kusaka and published by Fujimi Shobo under their Kadokawa Books imprint. A manga adaptation with artwork by Nakashima723 is published in Japan by Leed Publishing in their Comic Border manga magazine. Crunchyroll describes the story: In the mid-21st century, Tokyo's mafia can turn into ether-enhanced Demon Lords, and Braves hunt them down.
