Last September, the anime adaptation of Gosho Aoyama's Detective Conan/Case Closed series revealed plans for a special titled Episode "ZERO" The Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Case , which premiered today in Japan. But sharp-eyed sleuths may have noticed that something else was hinted at in the first visual. Today, we have our reveal: a new Kaito Kid-centric special! From the title, however, we can gather that we will likely see Kaito Kuroba (a.k.a. Kaito Kid) facing off against fellow young sleuth Saguru Hakuba. Based on the manga by Gosho Aoyama, the Detective Conan anime first debuted in Japan in 1996. It now spans over 1,000 episodes — some of which are available to stream on Crunchyroll — and 28 theatrical anime films.
