The official YouTube channel for Infinite, an animation planning and production company based in Tokyo, started streaming two-part anime shorts titled "Noto Peninsula Reconstruction Support Project." The company is known for producing many P.A.WORKS works, such as Hanasaku Iroha (2011) and SHIROBAKO (2014). On January 1, 2024, a 7.6 magnitude earthquake impacted the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture. According to the Cabinet Office , the human toll from the earthquake and subsequent tsunami stands at 698 dead and 1,407 injured, while damage to inhabited housing reached 165,563 structures, including those completely or partially destroyed. Even two years after the earthquake struck, recovery efforts continue. These two videos were produced in hopes of a swift recovery from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake. Proceeds from the videos posted on YouTube will be donated to the recovery efforts on the peninsula in June and December 2026.
