The official X (formerly Twitter) for the Chainsaw Man franchise announced today that the cumulative total domestic gross of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc in Japan surpassed 10 billion yen on 6.55 million admissions as of December 30, 103 days since its release. According to Animate Times , which provides more detailed figures, the film has earned 10.01 billion yen (63.94 million USD) on 6.558 million admissions. Reze Arc has now become the fourth film to reach the 10 billion yen mark in Japan in 2025, following Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle , Kokuho and Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback . The official X account also posted a celebratory illustration and comment from Chainsaw Man manga author, Tatsuki Fujimoto. The message reads: "Thank you so much for watching so many times! I still can't get over it yet!" Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc , the sequel film to the Chainsaw Man TV anime series, opened in 421 theaters (including 61 IMAX theaters) in Japan on September 19, 2025, and made a first-place debut in the weekend box office ranking . The film remained at number one for seven consecutive weekends, and even in the most recent weekend of December 26-28 , it ranked eighth, maintaining its position within the top ten for 15 weekends straight. Reze Arc now ranks #51 in Japan's all-time box office ranking according to Bunka Tsushinsha .
