A release window has been locked in for the second Haikyu!! anime film. Haikyu!! vs. Chiisana Kyojin (“vs. The Little Giant”) will premiere in 2027, and you can see a new peek at the feature in the teaser trailer below and the warm-up visual above. Bakemonotachi no Iku Tokoro , will also premiere in 2027. RELATED: Haikyu!! 2nd Anime Film Reveals First Teaser Trailer and Art The film picks up after the conclusion of the contest against Nekoma High School, where Shoyo Hinata and his team from Karasuno High School advance to the quarter-finals to face off against Kamomedai High School, whose star player, Korai Hoshiumi, shares the same nickname – “The Little Giant” – as a player he once admired. The Haikyu!! Bakemonotachi no Iku Tokoro (“The Place Where Monsters Go”) special episode will broadcast on Japanese TV in 2027. The special episode depicts a contest between Fukurodani Academy and Mujinazaka High School and their star players, Kotaro Bokuto and Wakatsu Kiryu, respectively. The original Haikyu!! manga by Haruichi Furudate was serialized from 2012 to 2020 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump manga magazine. VIZ Media also publishes an English-language version of the series. Crunchyroll currently streams the Haikyu!! anime series and describes the story: Based off of the original Weekly Shonen Jump manga series from Haruichi Furudate, Haikyu!! is a slice-of-life sports anime revolving around Shoyo Hinata’s love of volleyball.
