The ongoing web anime Koala's Diary revealed today that the series will continue with new episodes on its official YouTube channel beginning on January 8, 2026. New key art and a new teaser video were also published for the series, revealing that the theme song will change to a new “Swing ver.” of “Niji to” by Punipunidenki feauring Kan Sano. The series began publication in June 2021, with four collected volumes released in Japan to date. The fifth volume will release in Japan on December 22, 2025. Takao Kato directs the web anime adaptation at studio MOTHER, with character designs by Chiharu Hara and music by Atsushi Umebori and Slavek Kowalewski. Voice actor Aya Uchida voices Koala and the rest of the cast. The story of Koala's Diary follows a koala bear that chronicles their daily exploits in their journal, because whether it turns out to be a good day or a bad day, every day is precious.
