Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway Revealed as 29th Anime Film

Following a tease back in August, the 29th theatrical anime film in the Detective Conan series has been formally revealed. Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway ( Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi ) opens in Japan on April 10, 2026, and you can see the teaser visual by series creator Gosho Aoyama below. Front and center in the visual is assistant Kanagawa prefecture inspector Chihaya Hagiwara atop a police motorcycle, with Conan holding on tight. As previously reported, Miyuki Sawashiro (Fujiko Mine in  Lupin the Third ) takes over in the role of Hagiwara after the late Atsuko Tanaka. RELATED: Detective Conan 29th Anime Film Teaser Trailer Announces Golden Week 2026 Release Takahiro Hasui ( Mob Psycho 100 III ) directs, with Takahiro Okura ( Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram ) on the script and Yugo Kanno ( JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure , PSYCHO-PASS ) on music for the TMS Entertainment production. The previous 28th film  Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback  opened in Japan on April 18, 2025, and earned 14.4 billion yen (97.9 million USD) from 10 million ticket sales by July 16 in 90 days since its release, becoming the second top-grossing film in the Detective Conan anime franchise, behind the 27th film  Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram  with 15.8 billion yen (107 million USD).
