5 Must-Have Horror Releases Coming to Physical Media in October 2025

Streaming may be convenient, but physical media is forever.

Here are five upcoming horror releases you don’t want to miss this month.

I Know What You Did Last Summer – October 7

I Know What You Did Last Summer will be released on SteelBook 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 7 via Sony.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. return to star in a legacy sequel to the 1997 slasher classic.

  • Return to Southport – The Cast
  • Deleted & Extended Scenes

When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge.

As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.

Madelyn Cline (“Outer Banks”), Chase Sui Wonders (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid), Tyriq Withers (Him), Sarah Pidgeon (“The Wilds”), and musician/model Gabbriette Bechtel also star.

Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge) directs from a script she co-wrote with Sam Lansky, based on a story by Robinson and Leah McKendrick (M.F.A.).

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “I Know What You Did Last Summer is stuck in the past, delivering a legacy sequel that comes closest to recapturing the look, tone, and feel of the original. But it also makes for a fairly predictable yet entertaining meat and potatoes slasher that steadfastly clings to its formula.”
