2007 Nintendo DS Title ‘Dementium: The Ward’ Headed to Steam

Developer Atooi is reaching back to bring PC gamers a blast from the past with the Nintendo DS game Dementium: The Ward. Announced on X, there’s no release date as of yet (other than “soon”, according to Atooi), but you can wishlist the game now on Steam.

Originally released on the Nintendo DS way back in 2007 by developer Renegade Kid, Dementium: The Ward will apparently be “remastered” for the Steam release, with “enhanced visuals, smoother controls, and the same relentless atmosphere that made it infamous.” Most likely, this will be the port that originally appeared on the PlayStation last year.

The story sees players step into the shoes of William Redmoor, who wakes up alone in a derelict hospital with no memory of how he got there. William soon discovers that he’s not alone in the hospital, as grotesque creatures roam the hall. While battling said creatures with nothing but improvised weapons and your wits, you’ll unravel the mystery of just how William ended up in the hospital.

You can also find Dementium: The Ward on the Nintendo Switch, as well as the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
