Twilight Out of Focus Roommates and high school students Mao Tsuchiya and Hisashi Otomo had a rocky start to things, but now they get along despite their opposite personalities of “film nerd” and “loner.” The two have come up with three simple rules: Mao mustn’t tell anyone that Hisashi is gay and has a boyfriend, Hisashi mustn’t fall in love with Mao, and they must respect the others’ privacy when one of them “needs time to himself.” Seems simple enough, right?
