100 METERS Anime Film Adds 10 New Cast Members to the Starting Lineup

This fall, Uoto's sports manga 100 METERS races to cinemas with an anime film adaptation. Today, the upcoming project announced 10 new cast additions. Joining the film's steadily-growing cast are: Top Row: Nigami voiced by Jun Kasama (Novick in Tower of God ) Asakusa voiced by Rie Takahashi (Megumin in ( KONOSUBA ) Shiina voiced by Yuki Tanaka (Rune in I Left My A-Rank Party ) Middle Row: Togashi (Young) voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki (Frieren in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End ) Komiya (Young) voiced by Aoi Yuki (Maomao in The Apothecary Diaries ) Kabanoki voiced by Yuma Uchida (Sunraku in Shangri-la Frontier ) Bottom Row: Numano voiced by Junya Enoki (Nasa in TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ) Kyoden voiced by Haruki Ishiya (Jiro Yamada in HYPNOSISMIC ) Morikawa voiced by Hiiro Ishibashi (Akatsuki Red in Mr. Villain's Day Off ) Onomichi voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (Taro Sakamoto in SAKAMOTO DAYS ) RELATED: 100 METERS Anime Film Adds Koki Uchiyama, Kenjiro Tsuda to Cast Kenji Iwaisawa directs 100 METERS at studio Rock 'n' Roll Mountain alongside character designer and animation director Keisuke Kojima, art director Keikankun Yamaguchi and producers Yusuke Terada, Yuki Katayama and Akane Taketsugu. Uoto ( Orb on the Movements of the Earth ) created the original manga. GKIDS, who are distributing the film in North American theaters this October, describes the story: 100 METERS follows Togashi, a track star who is born to run. As a kid, he is naturally gifted and wins every 100-meter race without effort. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who is full of determination but lacks technique. In teaching him, Togashi gives Komiya a new purpose: to win no matter what. Years pass by, and Togashi and Komiya meet again as rivals on the track and reveal their true selves. Source: Anime!
